thank goodness my legal writing prof has a sense of humour. i am supposed to be doing a checklist of things in this book about legal writing style that i need to keep in mind when i'm doing legal writing. this is amazingly boring. therefore, i am throwing in snarky comments here and there.

this includes a comment on the page that says it's okay to end a sentence in a preposition that reads, "Now I’m convinced my eleventh grade English teacher is going to come to my place and shoot me. If I am not in class next Wednesday, this is why."

this also includes a comment, linked to the page in the book discussing the difference between "it's" and "its", that reads:

"If you want to be possessive, it's just ‘I-T-S.’ But if it's supposed to be a contraction then it's ‘I-T-apostrophe-S,’ scalawag."—Strong Bad
